Food Plots Triticle food plot

Has anyone tried triticle in their food plots. If so how did it do compared to oats.

Always wanted to try triticale but it's hard to get seeds. My seed supplier relies on a farm in Tunica co, Ms. for some reason they aren't able to supply the seeds

I read a couple posts on another site and they speak highly of this. I'd love to see how it would do around here. All the posts I've seen where it is used has been up north. I just wonder if it would get tough enough to the point where the deer wouldn't eat it.

Grows fine. Deer like it. It's in most tecomate mixes and some evolved harvest mixes. I think you can order plain seed from Hancock seed on line.
