Figured I would pass this along and maybe it might get a few more of yall to think about wearing a safety harness this yr.
This info was sent to me a month or so ago by TWRA.
Hunting Incident Report January 1 2010 - December 31 2014
Only 1 of the 2 guys wearing a harness had injuries. Bruising to chest and arms.
There was 5 fatalities of which none of the 5 had on harnesses.
All 50 of the guys that fell without a harness suffered injuries.
Kind of compiled list of the injuries as most guys had multiple injuries with the most being fractures to spine and extremities.
Bruised ribs and arms.
Fratures to: fingers, ankles, wrist, clavicles, ribs, legs, pelvis, shoulders, necks, and hips.
Lacerated kidney
Concussion
Severed spinal cord
Head and neck trauma
Collapsed lung
Torn ligaments
Crushed vertebraes
