I like the little rubberized hooks on the front of the gun rail I have seen on a few. My Tree Lounge has the same setup on a side rail. Works incredibly well for a sporting type rifle. Not so good with my Military surplus guns.
 
I got some 5 inch U bolts and drilled holes through the shooting rail, bolted one side to the rail and used flex seal to put a coating on the two U bolts. Gun sets snug into the bolts and I got gear ties to wrap around gun for added security.

I looked up your stand and see what you mean (a front bar). I have mine attached to the side seat bar on my Viper (not the armrest).
