Anyone around me willing to sell me a small amount of whatever chemical is used for hack and squirt or the like, say, enough to take out two tree stumps.

Tordon RTU or Crossbow either one is sold at Rural King and works great for hack-n-squirt. If you are near Manchester I'd give you some. I'm sure I've got something. Otherwise you can get it a Rural King or possibly Tractor Supply???
 
Drill some large holes through out the top, pour in rock salt and cover with a trap. Keep replenishing weekly with rock salt. After a few months it'll kill the roots and you'll be able to break it apart easily.
 
My neighbors' twin orange osage trees had been over 80 percent over the fence on my side, the only reason they did not fully fall over is that they were hitting the top of my trees, so I had them cut to the fence when I hired someone to take care of a couple trees and branches on others for me.
My neighbor didn't do anything about them for years, so I had to. He doesn't care, as he didn't have to pay for it or anything; I just want to kill the 'stumps' so they don't keep growing over my fence when I get a new shed.
I have crossbow; didn't know it would kill trees, I use it for woody plants like blackberries. The problem is that the tree was cut just on the other side of my fence, and the stump is at 90°, so anything I put on it will roll off. But I am not above squirting it daily until it takes.

Drill holes and fill with tordon. It'll do the trick. Drill one hole and fill it. And continue around the stump. Key is to apply to fresh cut wood

Best time to spray is when it is a fresh cut. A paint brush will work to apply it. Be sure to get the cambium layer close to the bark all the way around the stump.
 
I might be wrong, but it appears from the picture posted the tree trunks on the other side of Omega's property line/fence.

have you tried drilling a decent size down slopping hole in a tree and filling hold with straight gly-4? Fall seems to work the best when sap is falling to the roots

Not yet, have a mess on my side to deal with, and a bunch of rain to work around.

This is what I am dealing with.

Amish guy made piles at my request, this is the biggest, some Orange Osage is on the bottom, second tree(s) he downed many large branches in all three large piles.

have you tried Spike herbicide pellets. Label lists trees controlled. You have to estimate how much to spread around the tree according to size and species of tree.

I have not. But I have hacked all the way around a mature tree with the hacks almost touching, and sprayed in about every broadleaf herbicide known, and I've still seen mature trees survive it. They usually get sick, but many don't die.

The pellets are very effective as long as no desirable trees are nearby or poison can wash downhill to trees you don't want killed. Not a quick kill on a hard to kill mature tree but probably dead by next year after applying, You can check the label for trees controlled, if not listed on label, maybe not effective on that species of tree.

This WORKS.

3/8 in drill bit angled at 45 downward, preferably a couple inches deep. 1 hole per 4 inches trunk diameter around the base. Fill each hole with straight 38 or 41% gly.
