To keep the trajectory from 50 to 120 yds in a coffee can lid how high at what range would the rifle needed to be sighted in? I'm putting a 22 lr varmint rifle together?

Need to know the measured velocity of the ammo your using in your gun to accurately calculate that. The speed on the box is seldom correct. To keep the trajectory from 50 to 120 yds in a coffee can lid how high at what range would the rifle needed to be sighted in? So I could hold in the center from 20 to 120 yds and keep all shots in a yotes chest? I got some places I don't want to use a centerfire, that CCI velocitor round is as close to a 22mag as I can find, 40 grain bullet at 1500 fps.Using win hp as a model here are the inches above and below with a 100 zero. It's 2.5 ish high at 60 yards and 3.27 low at 120. View attachment 312558
I don't have the velocitor in my app. It should shoot a little flatter at that speed than the chart I posted so if it's accurate will be even better. So I could hold in the center from 20 to 120 yds and keep all shots in a yotes chest? Good advice hereI'd run it through a chronograph to verify your velocity.
Also, I have found in 22lr that higher velocity ammo usually is less accurate. At least in my guns that has held true.
In my experience, a coyote would need to be shot in the head at less than 50 yards with a .22rf.So I could hold in the center from 20 to 120 yds and keep all shots in a yotes chest?
It's yotes so you know. The damage those bastards do, dead is dead.In my experience, a coyote would need to be shot in the head at less than 50 yards with a .22rf.
Unless you want them to run off and die.
