You can't adjust the trigger speed on a trail cam. It is what it is. Generally speaking, they have gotten faster than they used to be. Some makes and models have a faster trigger speed than others. Also, the real-world trigger speed is almost never the same as the advertised trigger speed. If you look at the sites that test trail cameras, you will see that the actual tested trigger speeds are always different from the advertised trigger speed, usually by a fraction of a second.

The other thing you can't really change is the detection angle of the camera. Your camera is facing that tree line. The detection mechanism on the camera is waiting to sense a target coming in from the left, right or from the front. Some cameras can sense a target farther to left or to the right than other cameras because of how they are designed. They basically have better peripheral vision. The sooner the camera senses the target entering the field of view of the camera, the better chance you have of the target ending up in the picture.

The one thing you can change is how you aim the camera. It is not recommended to aim a camera perpendicular to a game trail. By doing so, you give the camera the least amount of time to detect, trigger and capture the target in the picture. If you are going to monitor a trail or travel corridor with a trail camera, it is recommended that you aim the camera at a 45 degree angle to the trail. That setup keeps the target in the camera's field of view longer, which improves the chances of capturing the target in the picture. This is not a concern when monitoring something like a mineral site or a feeder because the deer will most likely come into the field of view and stop to partake of the bait.

2. When covering a trail, position your scouting camera at a 45-degree angle to the trail.
Never position your scouting camera perpendicular to the trail. Most cameras are not quick enough to capture a picture of animals moving perpendicularly. Positioning your camera this way will produce a picture of only the back half of an animal or nothing at all. Also, avoid aiming your scouting camera directly down a trail. Many trail cameras are not capable of detecting motion traveling directly toward them. Your best placement is at a 45-degree angle towards approaching or retreating animals.

As stated above, putting a little more angle (vs perpendicular) will usually work.
But more angle can also provide some disadvantages when you're having deer coming from either direction (and commonly not known from which more), or when you're trying to monitor the point at which two trails intersect.

However, with your Browning cam, a full 45 degree angle may not be necessary, or you may be able to get by with less angle.
If you have your cam set to take only 1 or 2 pics per triggering, the solution could be simply programming your cam to take 3 or more pics per triggering. You didn't say which model you have, but mine have a setting to take 7 consecutive pics, which is allowing me to need less angle in my cam trap set-ups.

And if you're strictly monitoring trails (where the deer is expected to normally be walking by and not stopping), consider that "0" second interval setting, rather than the more commonly used settings such as 15 to 30-second intervals. This setting usually works better with lithium batteries.
 
Thanks for your help guys. This cam is on a food plot. I will move it so it is "looking" more down the plot than across the plot. This is my first cam and and I am still learning.
 
Hmmmmm......the Strike Force reportedly has a 70 ft detection range, a .75 sec trigger speed, and a 2.3 sec recovery time. Those are very good specs. If that deer was alone, then the picture probably should not have turned out like that unless that deer was moving a lot faster than it looks. Hard to say why that might have happened without knowing the settings you are using.

Get a Cuddeback, just not the Ambush. The Captures I have are 9 and 10 years old I believe and they work great. No color but .25 second trigger speed. My Attacks work great and my 3 new E2's are doing great. Just don't drop them. Sending 2 back because I did. I have only used Cuddebacks and Primos but the Primos customer support is nonexistent and the battery life is too. Great pictures and never miss but they have a drawback. 3 weeks max with a set of 8 AA's and I have gotten 2.5 months out of I set in my E2's with same brand and number.
 
With trail cam's your gonna get a lot of 'get a BRAND X'... the Strike Force has great reviews. Just learn the ins and outs of it and how to place it and it will serve its purpose.
 
This is not the situation with your pic but advice on the Browning Strike Force. My Browning had very good sensor field on horizontal plane but vertical sensor range is limited. I had camera on hill side and missed pics of deer either below or above the sensor range but within the viewing area. I learned this by mounting a Moultrie next to the Browning on hillside where deer were traveling but I was not getting pics on the Browning. The Moultrie triggered pic from higher and lower points on the hillside where the Browning only took pic if deer was directly in front of camera at same elevation. The Mountrie stays on hillside. I moved the Browning to level ground and getting great pics now. Daytime pictures from the Browning are outstanding.
 
It has a. 6 fresnel. Change it out to a. 9 hpwa (high performance wide angle) fresnel. It will improve the width of the detection zone greatly. I can send you one if you want to fry it.
