I put out my cameras in late May and didn't check until yesterday. I can attest that the deer like Trophy Rock and continue to hit the ground after the rock has melted away. Anyway, one of the cams had over 3500
pics, but 3498 were of does. I've seen bucks in the area before (and got a nice pic of a nice 10 but that was about it). I've heard about "doe sinks." Does anyone think I should be concerned about the absence of bucks on camera?

I love the Covert cameras. For the money they take good pics and batteries last for months in them.

One of the pieces of land I hunt I RARELY get pictures of bucks during the summer and bow season, but once the rut roles around I have numerous bucks show up on trail camera.

Where there's does, there will be bucks during the rut. As long as the does stay in the area, which they should, you'll be alright.

Sure sounds like a doe sink and these will see the occasional younger buck. But when rut comes you know the big boys will roam, and what better place to look for some tail than a doe sink.

My property is the same way, it can be very frustrating at times. It can be very frustrating seeing pics of big bucks on here when all you have on your pulls are doe. d Bought the property in June of last year and set trail cams out immediately. Did not get a buck picture until late September. By the time the rut hit, I was getting about 60% buck pics. Try not to get too frustrated, come the rut where there are doe there will be bucks.
