Thanksyou might look on websites of installers perfromance fishing electeonics, russel marine products, bass boat electronics, etc for take off trade in units.
Thanks for the tip!Pro Tip:
DO NOT INSTALL ANY UPDATES until they have been out a while and others have installed and tested them. I'm on several Humminbird/garmin pages and there are a lot of troubles after installing the latest software updates.
Digging further, there are some videos on Youtube about software updates on older units locking them up, reverting to an older system update won't work, and you basically "bricked" your unit. Most manufacturers are NOT supporting units that have been discontinued or are out of warranty.
This is across all the largest manufacturers and appears to be a planned "unit death" to force customers to upgrade to new units.
So if it is working DON'T MESS WITH IT!
......and home printers. I recently installed an update on my home HP inkjet. It's headed to the landfill soon. To be fair, it is 10+ years old, but it worked good enough before this last pushed update that I accepted and regretted almost instantly. Thanks for the tip!
Sounds like iPhones.
I love my Helix graphs. I have a Helix 5, 10 and 12 with down and side imaging. I got the Helix 5 at Academy on clearance and it was a display for $250. I've had it for around 6 years. The 10 and 12 came on the used boat I bought last year. I haven't had any issues with any of them. They are great electronics.Went with the Helix 7 with down image and side image.
