I have a firearm for sale or trade in which I'm at presently asking $1100. Of course, there could be a little wiggle room here. An old acquaintance has come forward who said he is very interested but wants to make a straight up trade. He coming to look at my firearm tomorrow and will be bringing his trade items. Among the items that seem interesting to me was a Kahr P380 LNIB, a Springfield Armory XDs 45acp compact LNIB, and an Uberti SA Deputy 4" barrel with birds head grip in 44-40. What do y'all think on the values of these. I know they have all been shot but how much I don't know. Fire away...

Not sure of the value but I would likely never trade 1 higher dollar gun for 3 relatively cheap guns unless you just absolutely needed them.

Keep in mind, that XDS gets greatly overvalued at times. It can be bought regularly from Palmetto State Armory for around $350

I'd guess the total on those 3 combined is somewhere around 800 to 875. That's just my opinion though. The real question is whether you'd rather have the trade ins or the rifle you built. It's not a terrible trade though.

Thanks for the advice from all. I did make the trade and I am now the proud owner of all three handguns. For what its worth and while I found all three desirable, the little Kahr was my favorite simply because I've been wanting a little pocket carry pistol for awhile. By the way, all three were in excellent condition and did come with a few extras. The flintlock is somewhat of a tough sale as I'm dealing with a niche market. I'm a hobby builder and at this stage in my life I have no desire to work at being a professional. One of the reasons I made the trade was that I figured that if I ended up not wanting any of the pistols then they would be much easier to sale. At least half or more of my asking price is labor and believe me I work cheap so just figuring parts for parts I think I did well. I was going to build it anyway...keeps me busy. :tu:

Good point. As long as you feel you did alright, and he is a friend. I have guns come and go from needs and wants. My buddy is talking me out of a single shot .22 and a Remington 870 so I can buy the wife a ruger lcp II for concealed carry in Illinois.
