I don't want to spend $$ on some expensive coon hunting lantern but am wondering if there's better options than a good Coleman one, for the money. Any suggestions? Anything a lot better than the Coleman or should I just get one of those? Thanks.

Coleman lantern with reflector, it is.

From everything I've used to track at night, the Coleman lantern with the hand hold reflector is the best. For whatever reason, the gas light seems to make the blood "pop" more than any other type of light source. Hands down, the best.

Thanks. But is there any way to transport it in an SUV without the fumes stinking up you and your gear? Guess I could put it in a tote and carry on my hitch-haul.
