touch up bluing pen ?

has anyone used the birchwood casey touch up pens in the blue or the black pens. i recently bought a rifle and the trigger guard and the magazine cover is scratched and nicked up pretty good and was lookin at touching it up myself.

Never have.. if its very little spots I usually just touch em up with a sharpie.

are the pieces steel or aluminum??

Not sure on the material I'm pretty sure it's aluminum. I tried the sharpie method which is what I normally use but it wipes off to easy.

The touch up pens work pretty well but they only work on steel. And you usually have to add more than one coat to completely cover the scratch but blends in very well.

Aluminum and stainless steel can't be blued. If it is aluminum it was either anodized or painted.
