On the way home from town with my better half I look out at the cornfield not far from my place and see a bunch of ducks and geese scattered out!! I slowed down to look and there was even some by the road mostly mallards and geese in field but the ones close to the road(and a very small pond) looked like gadwalls. I REALLY wish season was still open!

Yep, I have seen more ducks & geese while standing in my driveway since the season closed as I did all year long during the season.

Same thing with the deer. I'm still seeing a few with horns. Torture!
I plan on talking to the landowner tomorrow hopefully I'll be able to hunt it next year. No telling how many times I've passed by and never even thought or cared to look for ducks. Been missing out all this time! It's funny never in my life did I think of going duck hunting then one random day after watching a bunch fly over me and land in a swamp it feels like it's about all I think about lately. Makes me wish I could hit rewind and go back to start sooner!

You'll see a pile this time of year. They take their time coming south, but hurry on they way back to the nesting grounds.
