Fayette County Weather on Tues is calling for AM RAIN high wind N 23mph with Temps dropping to 24 overnight. Weds forecast is Sunny low 27 high 48 NNE 6mph. Thurs is Mostly Cloudy High of 55 low 35 S 8mph.

Torn on which day I should take off from work to go. Have a few options so Wind doesn't matter much...what would you do? Sunny & Cold the day after the front or Mostly Cloudy and cold 2 days after front?

2 days after would normally get my vote but this time of year I would make my decision on what stage the Rut was in for your area?

I would pick Wednesday. The colder temperatures and lower winds should help keep day-time movement up, which matters a lot if you are going to hunt the afternoon (or all day).

If you like hunting mornings more (like me), then you might also be able to take 2 half-days of vacation and hunt both mornings and go in for the afternoon. Not sure about your work's policy on that type of thing, but mine allows it.

Best of luck either way. I saw a good amount of movement this morning.

If your area seems to be chasing, I don't know that it much matters. And since it doesn't, I'd definitely go with whichever day seems to have the wind you need for your set. If that's equal, I go with temperature. If that's equal, too, I'd flip a coin. Ha!

I hear ya, I have put in for Thursday off but I can still swap it to Wednesday off. Wind will be fine either day for me but it looks a little cooler on Wednesday..

Agree here. The urge to procreate is strong...bucks just can't stand it when the time is right and they know time is limited. They will run themselves ragged. Truthfully, the does are likely of the same drive. Gotta get it done; the reproductive clock is tickin.
