Tore her down last night....

Got the lowering kit put in over the weekend, so it was time to fit the fender, rock guard, struts and seat before paint. Everything lines up perfect, so its off for some color. Hopefully by spring of next year, she'll be ready to roll again. I'll have to give it to Heartland (they fabbed the kit), their parts are SOLID. They have this game nailed down.

First pic is before. And the next pics are what mine should look like when finished up, minus the sissy bar. And haven't quite decided on whether or not to keep my VH big radius chrome, or go with the black short shots pictured. Either way, I'm thinking I'll dig it.

depends on what you like i guess,..and of course whos payin for it!! :D :D ..
I like the way the seat fits on the fender in the after more than the before pic...It looks like they have added a fender strut to the rear fender to carry it on the main frame instead of it traveling up and down with the swing arm. I like that better on a softtail frame...I like the longer front fender and the forward controls better too. black pipes! whooeee :cool: ........

That Heartland kit makes the bike. The stock seat and position, I'm pretty sure was designed by a waterhead. It had to be one of the most uncomfortable positions to ride in ever. With the heartland, your wrapped around that 250 rear and feel so much more in control of the bike.

SMH I would change the seat and be done with it. I love your bike how it is ('cept the seat). Only thing I plan on changin in the short run is my oil! OH and taking the roll of duck tape off my tailpipe. :grin:

I ain't no sissy! ;) The bar on ours is so I can lean back and enjoy the ride without getting dumped off the bike.
