Penn St is not a top 10 team any more than UT and Alabama are at this point. But, we shall see how the rest of the season plays out. Texas, OSU and Oregon certainly look like the best teams in the country right now.

Al and Tn drop to 11 and 12.
They'll never put a one loss Tenn ahead of a one loss Alabama. Even when we beat them, they still stay ahead of us in the polls.
They do the same with any team that has had the kind of success Bama has. They'll do the same with GA as they decline, and they still do it with USC/ND even though they've not had as much success recently.
Perhaps, but polls still defer as I indicated.

Id put clemson ahead of alabama and tennessee based on play past 3 weeks.

There seems to be a big ten team missing here?
I was looking at the remaining schedules for the SEC and B1G, and it could be very interesting if a team like IU ends up 11-1. They have a favorable schedule and are playing good football…well, for them, and compared to the Vols and Bama.
Yea, OSU has to be in there, somewhere. I'm sooo glad Tennessee dropped, as that can only help them against Bama, IMO.

Wrong- to call any SEC team overrated for 25 years is ridiculous. Most years 5 loss SEC teams would typically whip 3 loss ACC, PAC 12 teams. But those SEC teams don't make the list
Honestly it doesn't make a lot of sense for both Bama had TN to have struggle wins against very mediocre teams and Bama stays at #7 but TN drops 3 spots.

/ tin horn description!It really seems like TX is the only really good team but we haven't seen anything that makes them look unbeatable. I hope UT and Bama are both top 10 teams. UT hasn't looked top 10 but an SEC win is an SEC win. Same with Alabama, they didn't look good Saturday but they got the W. GBO!
Vandy should be ranked and look to be #26
Still, on both counts, it took an SEC team to beat an SEC team.
