I have a QDMA jawbone removal and deer aging chart, thats about 2'x 3' that Wes Parrish sent me a few years ago. But all it does is confuse me???

I think its easier to guess age by body size and characterizations.

So here are a couple of pics...

He's either 2.5 or 3.5 but honestly if it's possible the wear is almost in between in my opinion. If the TWRA was aging him I would believe he would be aged at 2.5 to be safe but it's possible he is 3.5 in my opinion.

Also for the record...I should not have used the term "experts" as my topic title.

No offense meant towards any of you guys. ;)

But would still like for you to help with the ages.

Wow, that is so cool! Look at how thick his neck is and how much mass he has on those spikes.

We had a spike on cathole that at last count he was at least 3 1/2 yo. I should have shot him that year and had chances at him several times. One hunter (stick n string) had him come under his stand and was shocked at how big he was. I will look for a pic and post that I think he was 2 1/2 at the time. His spikes looked similiar to the ones posted.
