I was thinking the same thing which was surprisjng based on his body and antlers. I hadn't gotten this buck on camera, and I had to make a split second decision on the shot. So no time to consider age in the moment.

Just remember that tooth wear is minimum age. He shows classic 2.5 from the angle in the pic though.
