Part two...

Last night my brother law and I decided to try it again. He tree another stinking possum under a rock, we tried to shy him away from it. Then he took a 300 yard sprint and treed 2 coons. We only knocked one out to him. First coon in only his second trip solo. Last year we only went twice with other dogs and only got him one to see. So this is a major accomplishment. Now we will see this weekend if he can tree squirrels again....





 
Personally I dont want my dogs treeing possums. I will let them slide a little if they are just starting but the honeymoon with possums will end shortly there after.Next time he trees a possum that you can get your hands on tie him back and put your shocking collar on the POSSUM.Crank the juice all the way up and let him grab that possum agaim and light that possum up while it is in his mouth! It will break him the first time. Dogs do not like electricity through their mouth. The dog will not associate getting shocked with you only the possum.
