I am going to take my Savage Striker in a 260, there has been a small doe that I have been passing up if she comes along I am going to let the Striker take her.

The Parker Hale 30-06 gets the nod in the morning. Last year I took an HK 91 clone in .308. Ugh. Too heavy.

We're staying at our place in the mountains tonight. Approximately a 500 yard walk to my stand.
Taking my youngest son out the back door about 500 yards. He will be shooting my dad's old marlin 30/30. It's killed a pile of deer through the years. I killed my first and biggest buck with it on opening day of rifle in 1987. I'm hoping it will bring him luck with his first buck in the morning!
