My wife found six jars of Epic duck fat today for $3 each, so she bought them all. Can't wait to start cooking with it.

Other than the usual starches, what do you recommend cooking in it?

That's awesome! The Sprouts in Germantown accidentally put that stuff on clearance for $0.50/jar. My mom bought (10) before they figured out their mistake.

I love to use a 50/50 blend of duck fat & extra virgin olive oil in my vinaigrette dressings. It's great to fry eggs in, as well. I've also done skillet popcorn using duck fat.

Whatever you'd use butter for, use the duck fat.

Sounds great. I've been burning through avocado oil in my dressing and mayo, so I'll mix half in place with that.,

It's very tempting to chop up a potato, so having some good options will help keep me from doing that.

Carnivore coffee! :D

lol you can use it for anything that you would other oils and butter except it has a high smoke point which would pair it for pan searing meats, hot roasting chicken, etc. i cant find it in stores around here though.

H.EB. is a Texas grocery store. It was recently voted as Texas' best grocery store.

TX300,, thanks for letting me sample the duck fat. Man did I feel stupid!

At least you didn't have to demonstrate why strapping your feet into mountain bike pedals is not the best idea.
