Small white and big red got blown over on a house last night. Here's some acorn pics. The red was loaded.

Yes . Anything decent I give away. I burn about 30 ricks a year or more. The big red oak split pretty badly. I give away logs, chips, firewood, even brush for my duck hunting buddies . Try to not waste anything.

The one behind my house is loaded again. I swear EVERY year it drops a semi trailer load of acorns regardless if it's a bumper crop year or not for the rest of the mountain. I go out once a day when they really start to drop and get a 5 gal bucket full. I bought one of those acorn picker uppers cause it's ridiculous.

My parents have one just like this in their yard. Squirrels love it and I swear if you go near it, they will get directly above you and drop acorns on you. It's been that way since 1987 when we first moved in there. I hate parking under it because they drop them on my truck. And it's only where you're standing or where your truck is.

There use to be squirrels in my yard but once they started to chew on wiring in my boys treehouse they disappeared.

Got plenty acorns but was really really happy to see these. Got a couple of them just loaded up with nuts this year. Should be a good spot for early season.

What would that be Ski? I don't think I've ever seen one

Beech nuts. Chocolate covered cherries for squirrels and deer. Problem with them is it takes 40yrs before a tree even begins to produce, and then they only produce sporadically. If you find a tree that's loaded, pay attention. It'll be a big draw for every critter in the forest. And it might be many years before it produces heavy again.
