To all fanners, decoy users from a blind

If the (dang I want to say everything) people on here give you any crap over the way you want or do kill your birds don't back down to their type of hunting and fear of asking anything about it. I ain't never killed one with a fan or decoy. If someone wanted to ride around and shoot em off a golf cart that's their business. They shouldn't get discouraged by the same individuals repeatedly. You know who you are and of all the people I've met on here and talked to you get made fun of the most. So lighten up or go somewhere else please.

I hope when I get belittled that I handle it with maturity and grace. The folks that have a higher or even just different standard and are passionate about the change that has occurred have every right to voice their opinion about said changes. They think their way is the better way, and say so. SO WHAT! Think about what they say, take into consideration from their point of view what they say and maybe learn something. They may very well be WAY wrong,but so what. I teach my children that it's just as bad to take offense as it is to give offense.

If you want to kill a bearded hen, jake or gobbler out of a tree or from a blind or from behind a fan with decoys I could care less as long as it's legal and it makes you happy.

As long as it is legal I say go for it. I killed 70 birds give or take. Killed around 45 of them by run and gun with no dekes and a mouth call. The others where killed over decoys, I was even in a blind a few times. I even belly crawled up on a few. If you don't like the way I killed 20 something birds then oh well.

You really need to keep in mind that it's just an opinion. The reality is it doesn't affect you one bit, yet you act like it's killing you I feel a certain way. Nothing I say here has any impact on you or your hunt, unless you let it. If you do, you're to blame not me.

I would rather see someone educated vs belittled but the only thing you offer is what is wrong with turkey hunting. How about you educate some people or at least give a decent example of why you feel the way you do.

In some peoples opinion, saying that using decoys etc is wrong, is bringing up the discussion. Problem is, people get their feelings hurt instead of make it a discussion. All discussions don't end in resolution every time.

In amazed how this topic creates so much bitterness. I'm very new to turkey hunting and actually switched from hunting with decoys and a blind to just using calls. This happened mainly from a discussion with Setterman. Good grief. Take someone's opinion and realize it is just that an opinion. Really getting tired of the moaning and complaining. I enjoy TNDEER a lot but am tired of the fighting.

Just my opinion but I started turkey hunting with blinds, decoys and now I hunt more with only calls and a shotgun. Here's the thing. I found I killed more birds and had more opportunities with less versus more. Nothing to do with traditional hunting techniques versus modern. I just found that less is more when it comes to killing turkeys.

I don't know if you were brought up that you can talk down to people anytime but it ain't gonna happen. I don't know how to paint it any clearer for you. Members are fine with you sharing your veteran knowledge but they ain't fine with you negatively talking every single time about your disbelief in fanning, decoys, and blinds. I don't know how to make it any clearly. Everybody expects you to chime in on the subject knowing your gonna say something smart. Not week after week but year after year. Look I get it you all are sensitive about this stuff, my views are strong. I think everyone knows my views so I'll refrain from stating them as often in the future. I've got my opinions you've got yours, it's not the end of the world just a different view.
