TnDeer small game hunt

Just thinking it might be fun if we could get together and have like all day small game hunt,at a wma or something,squirrel and rabbit,you could hunt either or both if you have dogs bring um if you don't you could hunt with the ones that do if ya wanted to,maybe all meet back up a lunch and shoot the breeze.anyway just thought it might be fun if anyone is interested and if anyone has any suggestions post because I'm just thinking off the top of my head.

Bear hollow mountain would be interesting, Lost of squirrels in the hardwoods and those clearcuts with food plots planted between them hold a lot of rabbits.

That's what would be the problem,finding a place that's not to far for everyone to drive.if anybody has a thought or suggestions,post it.

I have a couple of ideas. 1 for rabbits 1 for squirrels. They are not real close together though

oh I ain't showing anyone the good spots. I was thinking along the lines of chesley or cheeks bend or somewhere easy access. Or Williamsport, lots of squirrel and rabbits there.

Finding beaglers with some good dogs willing to hunt with a bunch of unknown hunters is a bigger obstacle in my opinion. I've been fortunate to hunt with a few but they are picky--and rightly so.

I've got 3 beagles I will bring.only thing I'd be picky about is make sure you shoot the rabbit and not the dog,but that shouldn't be a problem since the rabbit is out in front.

nah the spots look different.

I'm game for SG hunting without dogs because that's the only way I've hunted

Id like to see this happen before season ends but I havent been able to run at all lately its killing me.Hoping to be back out there this weekend if possible. Depending on where its at Id like to get a hunt going.

I can go about any weekend,I about half way between Nash and Knox so I can travel east or west, a 2hr drive is about as far as I could go,we have till End of February to get it happening,but it will take someone better than me to set it up,because I don't know any places other than Catoosa to go and I think it closes the end of this month.if we get one going and say it's the opposite end for someone they can meet me and ride the other half to save them some gas and drive time.

Cmon dont complain its hard lining something like this up. To people who dont own dogs or only hunt when turkey or whatever else big game is closed it probably does seem easy but I for one aint puttin my dogs in any sort of bad spot so it needs to be thought out..maybe shouldve been brought up earlier in season instead of after deer closed! I hope noone thinks im blowing it off because Im not and I hope it happensive just been sick or working my dogs have been kenneled for near 20 days thats unheard of for me!!! Ive had to cancel on 2 people wanting to see my male run so they could use him for stud and i missed the big 4 day field trial last week/weekend!!

Again i hope this hunt happens but a lot goes into it. I doubt(although if possible it would.be nice)everyone runs the same style of dog so its not like just dropping them all at once that will likeley result in a trainwreck!! Dont matter to me if I go to the Tndeer small game hunt or if I except the invite to go hunt swampers like someone asked on here(i hope that happens before season ends to!)or if someone wants to come hunt with me..or meet up in off season and just fun run id be happy to do them all but cant just drop everything and travel a few hours on a dime!Hope this dont come off as arrogant cause thats definitly not intention just not as easy as it may seem! Have to have plenty of grounds. Are we squirrel or rabbit huntin? Half and half?
