Would there be any interest in folks getting together and going on hikes. Sort of like the tndeer Clinch River Float, but hiking in the backcountry instead. It wouldn't have to be anything formal, but just someone posting that they are going to be at trailhead "X" on a certain date at a certain time. Then if anyone wanted to go, they could meet-up. An example would be that I'll be hiking to Gregory's Bald sometime next month. When I pick a date, I would just post the time I'll be there and if anyone else wants to go, we could all meet somewhere and head out.

I thought it might be a good way for several of us to meet while doing something we enjoy.

Savage gulf would be fun.
spent a lot of time backpacking out there. would love to go out to hobbs cabin again or the fierry gizzard trail.

Too many snakes around Hobbs Cabin this time of year for me! But I love hiking the Gulf in mid spring or during a warm winter spell.

When I was a teenager I had a summer job with the rangers at South Cumberland rec cntr, we cleared trails in sevral of the state parks, STone door, Sav Gulf, Fiery Giz, Carter Nat area, hard work but one of my all time fave jobs.

Wish I had time & the ability to traips the woods again, nothing like be'n in the woods.
