I still had a tag for a cull in TN, and since my other culls were killed by neighbors on other farms, I decided to go after my fall-back buck. I passed him up in ML at 50 yards, hoping to get the kids on him, but neither of my kids could find him in the scope during rifle when he came out for them.
He came out in a bachelor group of 5 bucks, I took him at 280yds.
I really thought he was 4.5 when I saw him on prior occasions, but oops sometimes happens and his jawbone says 3.5, and his body says 3.5.
He was snapped off just above the pedicle on the left last year, and this is what he's left with this year.
Good season, decent crop of 3.5yos that will make next year fun if they make it.
