TN Statewide Deer Hunting Dates

Since the TWRA quota hunt apps just came out,
I'm getting lots of requests regarding the TN Statewide deer-hunting dates.

Unless I'm just missing it (good chance!)
I can't find any "convenient" link simply showing the upcoming 2019 unit & weapon segment dates.

Is there a simple web link showing the 2019 dates?

I have not seen anything, but agree it needs to be finalized and published ASAP, and definitely before TWRA quota hunt applications are due.

Kinda seems we're getting the cart ahead of the horse.

I know we have lots of "traditional" opening dates for various season segments,
but a lot seems "up in the air" and may be very different this year.

Would highly suggest everyone consider the differences in the CWD zone vs whatever zone (or unit) you currently hunt outside the CWD zone.

Odds seem high more counties will be added to "Unit CWD" DURING deer season.
This could greatly effect your decisions on how & where you hunt,
and/or whether you regret having applied for a particular quota hunt.

All I've found definitively is this:

In Zone CWD:

Archery/Muzzleloader = August 23-25

Archery = September 28 - Oct 25

Young Sportsmen Hunt = Oct 26-27

Muzzleloader = Oct 28 (Yes, this opens on a Monday) thru Nov 8

Regular Gun Season = Nov 9 thru January 5

^^^^ All of that is correct for CWD Unit, except Young Sportsman Hunt = Oct 26-27. Also, Jan. 6-10, 2020 private land antlered and anterless hunt. The second Young Sportsman hunt will be Jan. 11-12, 2020.

Nov. 9 unless you are in Unit CWD.

to be added into Unit CWD, making most areas October 28 instead of November 9?

Online version of the Hunting & Trapping Guide was released July 25 last year. Paper copies in stores shortly thereafter.
