TN River Jugging

Went out this a.m. with hopes of seeing some noodles dive under. We used ol faithful chicken breast and gizzards. Caught 9 total: 7 Blues and 2 Channels. Big Fish put up a good fight and almost pulled the PVC through the noodle. Overall pretty good morning on the river.

We set out the jugs (noodles) in a spot on the river that has two deep drop off. This was the view back up the river.

I put a washer on the oposite end from the line. No chance of a noodle slipping off the pvc. I also cap both ends. When a noodle neds replacing just cut it off and a new one will slide over the cap relatively easy. Love to see those noodles stand up them go out of sight when I reach for them.

That's the reason this one keeps about coming out because I pushed the new noodle over the cap.

Scales were not in the boat....I would guess right at 20. He taught us for a good five minutes; every time he saw the boat he would dive back deep. I was fishing in Huntsville Alabama up the river from ditto landing Marina.

How deep was the water there, and how deep were your noodles?

Water where I was fishing ranged from 20 to 30. I always fish right off the main channel so that my noodles stay out of other boarded way. My noodles range from 10 to 20 ft. in depth. Mostly catching the cats around 15 ft. right now.
