I never knew until today that Muskie are stocked in parts of TN. A friend told me that you can arch them at Dale Hollow. Anyone ever catch them? I looked it up and I seen you can only catch one a day so Im guessing they arent an easy catch like crappie or bass.

Ive tried to get one while pike fishing in WI but never had any luck.

Several years ago, I read where they were stocked in the Duck river, but I never heard or read anything about how the Muskie faired.

They are and have been actively stocking them in Melton hill. Had a buddy catch a 54 incher last spring and fish this size are caught every winter at Bull Run steam plant.

basically east TN then? i always wondered why there were none in any of the Mid TN lakes. we had them in lakes in VA and those lakes had more pressure than our lakes here and about the same climate in the summer.

The only one I have caught was below Bull Run steam plant on Melton Hill. I think I had a huge one on there a couple weeks later, but it came off. I also think I had one on at Dale Hollow night fishing, but whatever it was bit the line and was gone after a 30 second head shaking fight.
