A gaggle of Pre-64 Winchesters. These were all donated and owned by one man. The only one that is missing is the one with the radio in the stock. Evidently Winchester didn't make too many of them and it was downstairs getting its picture taken for the NRA website.

If I ever get back to the DC area that is one place I will have to go, so I can really "drool" LOL
 
I want to get down to the vault in that place. That's where all the really cool stuff is.

Before me and my cousin left the parking lot, he was setting up a guided tour of the USMC museum for the people who gave us the tour of the NRA museum. Next trip, I will be in the vault. The man who gave us the tour is a volunteer who retired from the Department of State. He traveled the world and was as interesting as any person I have ever met. He lived next door to the guy who is on Under Wild Skies, Tony Makris? He just works two days a week fondling guns, getting to shoot some of them and makes sure that all the displays are accurate to their descriptions.

I remember when this guy donated his M70 collection to the NRA. It was only a few years ago as his pciture/article was in the NRA Rifleman.

Thanks for the pics....You gave me something to do when I'm in DC.
