Tiny Ants Eating My Tomatoes

dang haven't had that problem... are the maters split? Any damage to the tomatoes or are there just ants there?

It may well be that the tomatoes already had holes in them, so the ants would have just been cleaning up. But now I wonder what the holes are about.

Birds pecking them making holes then the ants come to the open tomatoe would be my guess.

Think that's it cause the birds are now having a field day. Any idea how to get rid of birds?

I know some people around here will hang pie pans from a string and the wind blows them and makes a flash and some noise and it keeps them away.

I have seen this trick but not payed attention to whether it works or not.

I have watched birds in the community garden near 2 owl decoys though and they don't care at all, so an owl decoy is a waste of money.
