And I still haven't pulled the trigger. I have saw several bucks and two nice 3 year old 8 points and of course a ton of doe. Hoping to hit it hard the next couple days with the cold front. Don't really care any more about killing. It's just enough to get the chance to sit in the outdoors for the day. Hopefully dads coming in today. I am praying the lord lets the big one walk into his shooting lane. At 71 I am just thankful we still get to hunt together. To all those that's posted their success and fails this year. I'd like to say I have enjoyed reading your post but hey it ain't over yet so maybe us last min guys will get to chime in with our own. Either way it's been another enjoyable season.i know not all here believes in the lord but I'd like to say i am thankful to believe in a God that loved me so much he came as a babe in a lonely stable. Never thought I'd strike out at the in-laws, but I didn't see the first deer. Probably will get to go about 3 more times. I didn't pay close attention until recently that TWRA changed the does days for many of the Unit B counties. They took this weekend away from hunters in Anderson, Campbell, and Union Co.
 
I haven't dropped the hammer on one yet either. The nice nine pointer that my wife got( her first deer in five years of hunting ) literally made my season. We will probably go a few more times but the memory of that hunt will last a lifetime. SH the killing doesn't necessarily always make the hunt as you obviously know. You are indeed a blessed man just to be able to fellowship and hunt with your dad. To you and yours have a very merry and blessed Christmas.
