Well, at least for me.
I've found for my area (middle TN), the best time to plant the fall cool season veggies is August 1. The soil is perfect for germination and will stay that way for a while. By the time the weather cools off, the plants will have had a great head start.
This weekend, I'm planting all my lettuces and spinach and broccolinis, etc. Good luck!
