i bet he does
Me too, especially since the guy was shooting at Piedmont. I have heard Tim mention Piedmont more than once when I have spoke with him. That is the most impressive 5 shot group I have ever seen at 600 yards, WOW! Thanks for sharing the link.

Judging by Tim's comment below the article, I'd say they are friends.

I sure do know Rodney (eggman) Wagner. My first match ever at IBS 600 year 2007 Rodney was there. It was at Oak Ridge, Sam Hall was there the maker of the awesome Clinch River bullets was there too.

I also was expecting to see Rodney at my venture out to the Piedmont range in 2010, but he has a 3 hr drive from Virginia where he lives and fell asleep on the way and had a bad wreck.

I shot with Rodney at the 2011 (Yukon MO) and 2012 (St Louis) IBS 600 yd Nationals. There is no finer human being on this planet than Rodney. The September match at the Nationals at St Louis I had not brought winter clothing and the temps dropped into the low 50`s on day 2, and I was freezing my nuggins off, Rodney loaned me a warm extra jacket.

I don`t have Rodeys phone number but we communicate by e-mail pretty regular. I had e-mailed him last year just after our 2nd IBS match, and told him I had shot a .877" 5 shot group, and gave him the details that I was using Berger 108`s and jumping them .018" using 32 graing military pulldown powder, well he tried that seating depth but went .020" off and went with 32.5 grains Varget and the rest is history!!

At the 2012 IBS National, the smallest 8 target agg turned in was a 2.0XX agg for 40 shot. That was done by Rodney Wagner day 2 in Heavy class. He was shooting the same load. 32.5 Varget 108`s jumped .020"

I e-mailed him telling him how proud I was that he had set the new record, and that I was so happy he decided to give my seating depth a whirl. He sent back a LOL note that if I had just seated them another .002" off that I would have had that new record!!! that needed a big LOL !!!! Could not have happened to a better guy and I mean that. Rodney is tops in my book!!

One more detail!! Rodney does his own barrel work, and had a lathe a few months before I purchased mine. I had e-mailed him his thoughts on which brand to get and shocking me to death, he had the same brand, and same model lathe I was looking for!! South Bend Heavy 10.

shooting is about the only sport I know where the people will try their best to help you beat them,,

I am happy shooting MOA with my 338 at anything past 500 yards, and that is with 300 gr bullets and 90 grs of powder,,LOL
