Tim’s Ford crappie have racing stripes

Caught 2 crappie
One was 13 1/2" and one was 12"
Both had the ole black nose going on

All my pond crappie look like that. May be stockers. They still taste great though.

black nose are natural in some west tennessee lakes and the white river in arkansas. the twra started stocking them in the late 80's. why i dont know. they are just a black crappie with a genectic color mutation kind of like an albino catfish.

I catch black nose crappie on occasion on Chickamauga. Been a tough spring for me.
