Yeah. Using a rototiller compacts the ground about 6" deep over time.

Until I get a GOOD Italian 3-pt tiller with counter rotating time, I'll continue to use the TroyBilt.

I break it deep with a middle buster, disc it, drag harrow, and THEN till it a couple of times with the TroyBilt. And cultivate off and on with it.
