I need a factory rifle that will really shoot,,I been lookin at this model in 6.5x55 with 24 inch barrel,,has anybody handled one and are the mags junk and how is the trigger,,wish I could see one in person,,

Big,
I ordered the Tikka today and can't wait to get it. My Sako 75 .260 pushed me in this direction as I figured the trigger would be similar (great trigger) and accuracy is fantastic in it if it's any indicator of the Tikka. My only concern is that the .223 mags are too short for the 75 AMAX. With that said, the Tikka Performance Center (tikkaperformance.com) has replacement bottom metal to allow the stock to accept AI mags which may be the route I go if it becomes my preference rig.

I have custom actions and trued actions but at the end of the day, I want something that feel great right out of the box. I want this without waiting for a 'smith to screw something together in a year's time due to resources or parts availability.

Lastly, I like the Savage Stevens but I could never warm up to it. It was a tool that did it's job. I may let my son to use it as we go out for father-son target shooting and predator hunting.

I had my eye on same rifle and I do believe it's a great choice for a factory rig.
Trigger is pretty good and the mag is all plastic but better than most plastic mags.
They can only fit some much quality into a factory rig in my opinion for the price.
You on the other hand may be disappointed cause the comparison to your custom rigs.
My factory Remington will out shoot my Tikka.

I am new to tikka rifles but really like my T3 stainless 300wsm. The trigger on my gun is fantastic and I have done nothing but adjust it down to its lowest poundage which I am guessing is around 2 pounds. I am really hoping to own a few more of these little jewels in the future.
