OK I planted some of this stuff in a small remote location back in the woods. I limed and fertilized it good and it has come up great. Well, the ryegrass did anyway. The rape and clover started coming up but I suspect the deer have eaten it all up. Now all I have is ryegrass and it seems the deer are finished with it. Will they eventually eat this ryegrass? I have a camera on the plot and haven't gotten any pictures for a couple weeks and the grass is up to my knees.

NO,or I doubt it,thats the trouble with throw and grow,get some oats or wheat,comes up just as easy

Could I mow this down to nothing and overseed it with something usefull or is it too late in the season?

Wheat. Farmers are planting it now. Don't wait any longer though or it will be to late.
