When to hunt? Ahhh there's the rub. Probably 99% of the deer hunters can only hunt on weekends. Sometimes weather patterns really place them at a huge diisadvantage. It seems like it's either too warm, windy, or rainy on their hunting days and the ideal days fall during mid week while they're obligated to a job. I spent many years in that catagory and used up most of my vacation time and sick leave trying to compensate for it. Now I'm retired and can spend all season in the woods. Here lately on those unfavorable days I can take a break and opt for days that sway odds in my favor. I'm lucky. If predictions hold true I'll be back in the saddle come Tuesday morning.

I went this morning saw 0. I pulled the cards on my cams, and switched them out. got home and all the deer movement was during the cold front. most was in the afternoon, and around Midnight. Did have a couple of does on 12/10 in the morning. that is the morning the front moved in.
No pics this morning. i was on the opposite end of the property. I wanted to hunt that end, but couldn;t find a tree where i could climb and shoot from. Oh well at least i know i need to make some PM hunts. I have off from the 21st-the 2nd, so that shouldn't be a problem :grin:
