I don't know what I think yet but I just ordered one. I liked what i read about them and after weeks of research, I bought one. Not like me to buy a scope in the $200 dollar range but I am giving it a try. Appreciate any thoughts on those who own one.

I just got an SII in 3.5-10x44 with side focus. I am very impressed with it so far but have not shot with it on the rifle yet. I got it out at dusk the other night and it was really bright.

its all i use now, except for a 3200, and a conquest. bright glass, tracks really well, most will outperfrom some of the leupolds and only a conquest beats the big sky model imo in that price range. excellent customer service.

the bad thing, they have hired a new pr person and the scopes have went up 50 to 75 bucks in 2 years.

I have a SII 1.5-6x42 on an 870 slug gun and a SIII 1.5-6x50 on a TC Omega. Both are great scopes. Sightron is kind of a sleeper/unknown brand which is good because sometimes you can find killer deals on them. My SII was a $299 scope that I got for $189 and my SIII was a $600 scope that I got for $299. Keep your eyes out on CheaperThanDirt and Lock, Stock, and Barrel.

I guess I will find out how good it is when it comes in. If they are as good as they say, you can't beat the price.

Where you order it from? Let me know how it turns out, might need to pick one up for an extra.

The Sightron Big Sky and Conquest use the same glass.

what is your source of this info? i know meopta makes the glass for the conquest per zeiss' specs. the only thing i have been able to find out is that sightron uses a japanese optics man. but not sure which one, and i dont think its light optics japan.

I am ordering a 3-12 SII Big Sky for my .264 on Friday. I have read too many good reports on them. I posted a ? on 24hour a few months back and asked what to get between a Burris Sig Select, Bushnell Elite 4200, Vortex Viper, the new Nikon Monarch and the Sightron, all of them were 3-12x40something...all said Sightron.

I have tried to find something bad about them and have not found a thing. I received mine yesterday. Can't wait to mount it up.
