I think I read about this guy a few weeks ago.
If I remember right, it was a new batch of carbon fiber arrows. He said he visually checked them out before shooting, but this still happened.
He is suing, claiming there was a recall he never knew about.

good reminder to bend your arrows every now and then to make sure you don't have a weak one. If that was a new batch of arrows, I might be suing too

I still think that taking a picture of myself would be the last thing on my mind if something like that happened to me. Then again, I guess it satisfies the "pics or it didn't happen" crowd.

Always flex test your arrows. It's a habit for me now. Everytime I pull my arrows out of a target I flex them. Scary stuff it fails and explodes.

Same thing happened to a good friend of mine. Brand new Easton's and the pic is nearly identical. The cool...or not so cool thing about it, is that he has his Go Pro going and caught it all.

OUCH. Flex all your arrows or bolts. One benifit of a Xbow your hand and wrist are well below and guarded by the rail. But still ........ ouch
