Looks like with the Winds this weekend we are looking at some Sub Zero Temps. Anyone gonna be out hunting in this?

I think I am hunting Missouri Friday and Saturday. Should be "loads" of fun. But its s family tradition and so afield I will go!

I dont have any buck tags. Its going to be too cold and windy for me to doe hunt. I'm hanging out with the family this weekend.

Not happy with the updated forecast...rain starts tonight? When did they update this? grrr

Going to guess they're still wrong and plan to hunt tomorrow afternoon anyway.

Absolutely not, Tn deer dnt like below freezing temps.
I can't agree with this.

I LOVE mornings that are in the twenties. Killed a lot of mature bucks in cold weather.

Below about 15 degrees though, it just falls right off.

Think the benefit they get from digestive thermoregulation is completely negated in Temps that cold.

Was planning to hunt Friday all day as long as I could. Likely moving around from ridge too to ridge top.

My thought process is that it will be so cold that deer will have to move to stay warm and get food for energy. Though it sounds like a lot of folks here believe they will be bedded down all day Friday? Thoughts?

With wind chills in negatives all day friday they will definitely be in deep thick hollows and not on ridgetops

That is why I am staying home Friday. Morning low of 3 where my land is. Windchill sub zero.

High 13 and Windchill will be probably at or near 0.

Saturday AM it is going to be 7, but the high is at least 24 and the wind dies.

I think I will wait till Saturday PM.....

If there is any sun they will be layed up on a hillside, the cold sinks into the hollers and it will be colder there in the shade, thats been my take on it any ways

Yep. Some of my best early morning deer have been killed in the mid to upper teens and twenties.
That may be true as I killed my first deer on a day like that, but it was at 10:30 am. So I wnt hunt early am, I would do a midday sit before early am.

I give kuddos to all those out in this, I'm from north east Ohio and can't stand this kind o cold weather.
