From 7:53 until almost 8:45, I had 11-deer around me, never offering a shot. Then, they left. By nine I was about half-dozing and enjoying the great morning when to my surprise, I spy a doe's head and neck sticking out behind a tree 8-yards away.

Says I to myself, I says self, if you can do it by accident, yu can do it on purpose. I know I am either going to miss or drop her in her tracks. I didn't miss.

It was 154-steps to the point I could drive the truck. By 9:50, she was delivered to a happy family.

I also saw another fresh rub-unusual for my place. and I have never seen so many trails and tracks. I think I shall put one more stand for mzl. and Then maybe hunt once more with the bow.

Kinda gruesome.

 
This is a terrible picture, I was using my little P.O.S. camera but there is a deer in there. She was about 15-yards and never gave me a shot.

 
A disclaimer. I do not recommend anyone take this shot with a bow. As I said, I knew I would either miss or drop her graveyard dead.
 
Can anyone see the deer in the second picture? That gives you an idea of how thick it is where I hunt. You have to just pick holes to shoot through.

lo just giving you hard time, but the leaves and blood splatters and everything is the same. it happens certainly as we age lol :grin:
