this rain situation stinks

My clovers and brassicas have germinated but all cereal grains have not. Only one light rain in 2 weeks is killing me. Now theres no rain chances over 20 percent in the 10 day forecast. Mother nature is sure making it hard on growing food for wildlife this fall. Im wondering how big of a problem it is to be getting so little rain while my seed is in the ground, I sure hope it doesnt kill most of it.

I'm with you Steven. I put my seed down last week and only a light shower from Ike.

Looks like the possibility of a wet cold front coming through opening weekend of bow. I have my fingers crossed.

Thats right, we havent gotten much rain. In Hickman County, we have gotten a little bit of rain and our food plots were looking descent weekend before last. Cant wait to check them this weekend! These cool mornings are helping alot though and there is also alot of dew to keep them somewhat wet.

We planted Saturday. First hand reports tell me we got 1/2 an inch of rain on the plots thanks to Ike. But you're right. We need more.

I planted my last plot on Saturday checked today and there were 6 turkeys in the field when I got there. They have destroyed my WW and oats. My first food plot got rain for two days after I planted it and it wasnt a problem.

yep, worked two long 12 hour days planting 30 or so fields and the rain just hasnt come....we need a good slow soaker!!!

Plenty of rain here. It rained all morning. Crops look good, food plots look lush, ready to rock.
