Me too man. Last yr a little 6 pt tore up my magnolia and this year they got my new Murray cypress I'm planting for screen. Trashed 4 of them. You can try moth balls around them. I've had good results.

Wire cages when small then black plastic corrugated tubing when they get a little bigger. Only thing that finally saved my trees. Lost a ton that were small and they'd break them.

For the umpteenth time I just had to put my 3D buck target back together again in the back yard. It won't last many more attacks and then I'll have to replace it like I have had to do with several others.

Black corrugated tubing is the correct answer here. That will absolutely save your trees.
