That you will get from me, go buy your muzzleloading supplies now! There's no since in waiting and being in a panic when its all sold out. I dont wanna see a dozen post about people who can't find stuuf to hunt with!

Plenty of 209 primers available the last time I looked. I figure as long as I have a smoke pole, a life time license,and a place to hunt I'll have meat in the freezer.

I went smokeless last year, glad I bought a couple pounds of powder and a few hundred bullets

Hmm, should that be since instead of sense? I think there is a differunce.
 
Got powder, primers, and sabots. I do need to purchase a few bullets from Luke but would be good with what I got if I had to be.
 
My powder and primers have been gettin' old for years now. ;) Also made me a couple of little 265 grain molds for my .50 cal, and a few lbs of lead, so, should be good for another year or two I'd say. :)
 
I have seen several posts in the past about various Blackpowders losing efficiency ,not having the same umph as fresh powder. How do ya'll store your Black powder and primers to keep them fresh ??

As long as real black powder (Goex) is kept in its original airtight can, you shouldn't have a problem with it. But from many years of experience, my family (all real black powder users)have noticed that black powder stored from year to year in non-airtight powder horns can produce fluky burn rates. This non-airtight-stored powder would cause crazy shot-groups when sighting in the following year, with wild fliers. Switching to airtight-stored powder would always solve the accuracy problem.

This might be a crazy idea, but what about vacuum sealing it? I use pellets, but it should work just as good, I imagine?
 
Have you seen any degrading of the preformed pellets? I've used Triple Seven pellets for years now but admit that I don't treat my ML as seriously as my other rifles so I don't really verify accuracy every year. I keep the pellets in the house so they are climate controlled year round unless I have them with me hunting.
 
I don't think black power substitutes suffer from the same moisture problems as real black powder does.
 
Thanks For the feed back everyone. I mostly use 777 pellets these days. Just trying to plan ahead in case more stupid laws and restrictions come down the road. I really Love my M.L.
