Thinking of selling my .300RUM

Thinking about it but haven't decided yet.

It's a Rem 700 BDL with a beautiful walnut stock and engravings on the reciever and clip plate (I call it). Has a bighorn sheep on it.

I don't figure that helps the value any but who knows.

It's blued.

95% gun with hardly any blemishes and has been well taken care of.

Iron sights were took off but have them.

Any idea what this gun would be worth selling to an individual?

Rings are included. Millet rings.

Also had a fitted Sims Recoil pad on it. Not the slip on.

with the iron sights back on the gun i would say 450.00 to 550.00 do you know the year being a 300 rum probably not real old
i have seen some of the old ones with the really good wood and monte carlo stock bring a lot better than that

I bought the gun in the summer of 2001.

It has almost the most beautiful wood I've ever owned. I have a Browning Micro Gold 20ga that is better but it took me a year of looking to find what I wanted with that one. My BAR MKII Safari .270 also has some very impressive wood but the .700 may be better this time.

I'll see if I can post a pic soon of it. Gun is in near perfect condition.

I figured somewhere around $450-$500 but wasn't sure.

Not sure yet if I'll sell it. I keep going back and forth. Don't know what I would get to replace it. Probably a Pro Hunter.

I fell in love with my new A-Bolt .270wsm last year and it really is the only gun I need, even for my big fields and clearcuts. Gun is amazingly accurate. Plus, I still break my A-Bolt .06 out a few times.

I got to many rifles now that I don't use that don't even have scopes on them.

the RUM is a highly specialized tool,no doubt,,it costs dang near 3 $$ a shot to reload the dang thing,,I have threatened to trade mine off or sell it a dozen times,,then something sticks its head up way out there and it proves time and again why I bought it..

It is most definately the best 400+ yard gun I own. The combination of trajectory and energy is just about unmatched compared to other rounds with factory loads.

It just cost me $75 for a box of shells. Course, I shoot the Federal 180gr Barnes TSX bullets.

I love my Savage, I would doubt I would sell it. Why track if you dont have too? :D

It just cost me $75 for a box of shells. Course, I shoot the Federal 180gr Barnes TSX bullets.

That's insane, I miss the days when $35 a box of ammo was high. I pay $35 now for Hornaday SST in 7mm-08.

Used to pay $8.96 for 30-06 core-lokts, those days are gone.

Same reason I sold my Wetherby 300mag - ammo there only $45 a box so only $2 a shot. Got into black guns. 223 ammo at .40 a round is much better!

Thats to high for the hornady sst 7mm08 ammo I just ordered 5 boxes for $24 a box.
