I have my Red Head Blackouts shooting very good. They may not be perfect, but definately close enough to kill a whitetail. I have been giving some thought of trying the Rage 2 broadheads. Should I stick with the fixed blade?
 
I am new to the sport, but when would a situation warrant where one would use a fixed blade vs. a mechanical. I figured if one should choose, then that would be what I would stick with for the season.

IMHO fixed blades are hard to beat. Those Red Head Blackouts should be a great broadhead that will leave a good blood trail. Given all the practice and hard work you have put in to prepare for bow season I wouldnt even take a chance on a possible mechanical failure. :cool:

Stick with the fixed blade heads . Spin test each arrow , then group tune for optimum arrow flight .Why change when you haven't even shot a deer with them ? Its all about shot placement .

Blackouts should be fine! I like the looks of that head! Would love to here the results!
 
i switched to rage last year and IMO there the best thing since sliced bread they perfomed awesome everytime and the blood trail looked like some one had jus started pourin out 5 gallon buckets of blood the whole way ill never shoot another!!!
