I agree with you on the middle rifle. I have thought about getting a set of the walnut stocks for an SP1 that I have. They aren't cheap though.
 
Dan K. is a friend of mine, and a super guy. He lives right here in Tennessee. This project took him about a year to get right (it was a bit tougher than we thought it was going to be). I have a walnut set on one of my ARs, I'm planning on videotaping a 100 round full-auto mag dump to test the heat resistance of the handguards, but I haven't managed to get around to it yet. Dan uses a special heat ablative paint in place of the aluminum heat shield, I'm confident that I won't catch on fire. Give Dan a call, he'll square you away.
