If this was bow season, you would be talking about what great weather it was.

So why would you not hunt today?

May not see chasing but deer still have to eat and I am doe hunting. Going this afternoon and plan to enjoy the comfortable temps. Going in the morning, too. It is a TG tradition with me. I always hunt TG morning. Doubled up last year, buck and doe.

I agree.......hunting should be done on the hunter's schedule, not according to the weather.....enjoy.

Now, I do enjoy a crips frost ladened, clear, still morning. There's just something magical about it for me. However, I'll not let Mother Nature deter me from hunting, if I want to go...

Excuses are for the weak...lol.

Last night, at 11:32, my dog woke me up gropwling. She was looking out the window at a small buck crossing the road in front of the house. So, for sure, deer are moving at night.

A little while ago, at 6:40, on the way to do a radio show praising BGG for his work in game managment, I saw 11, including two small bucks, in a big field beside Ross Gear in lebanon. So, the deer are for sure moving early in the morning.

So to summarize your data...deer move.

Sounds like reason to hunt for me! :)

But what you also mgiht forget.Sure upper 60's during bow season is good weather, but the deer still have their summer coats. Now come mid Nov,deer have their full winter coats on.And now those upper 60's now feel like the upper 80's to them..

I will go but sure wish it was colder , saw a nice 8 bedded down with a doe in a field today , I guess it was too hot for all that running around lol

So, you are saying deer don't eat when it is hot and they have summer coats? Why are so many deer killed on hot days? They can't all feed at night, can they? I find here, where I hunt, it cools off about sundown and deer tend to move. That is why I am going in about 30-minutes.
