I wish him the best, i (for one) liked what he brought to the team and was pulling for him hard. Especially when Tn was still trotting out Guarantano in his 15th college season. But Maurer was pretty clearly the bottom of the 4 that are there now. It's just the nature of the business.
I think PDB has some counterfeit press credentials and attends every UT event. He probably hangs around the athletic complex like a groupie trying to get a story. In his mind he's a reporter for TNDeer and has to be the first to get the scoop. I bet he volunteers (no pun intended) to launder the jockstraps hoping he will hear some scuttlebutt. He spends all his time on his secret mission and has no time to watch "his" team. Reminds me of a fella from my hometown. The local fire department got him a helmet and t shirts, they come by his house and hit the sirens, etc. It gives him purpose because he thinks he's part of the FD. It's a sweet feel good story for this guy. For PDB it's just sad.

Joe Milton certainly looks by all means a tremendous QB. But Harrison Bailey IMHO seems like he has the full package. Its just a matter of development and putting the time in with him. It may take a season or two to get him some time in behind the ball but if he is given the time he will be a stud.

Milton reminds me of Tebow, he can throw, and run, looks like a linebacker. Most people predict him starting we havent had a running qb since shuler
Why couldn't Milton win the mich starting role, there team is average. Baily is clearly the most talented he just needs to learn the mental part.

That's a good question. Maybe new coaching and a new system will be able to get the best out of his talents. Doesn't always work that way though

No. All Ut football fans do is talk about Bama. Just look through the threads. Cant post something without referring to Bama or talking about Bama. Get over Bama and just be the best Ut can be. Nobody will ever catch Bama. Maybe just some other SEC team can sneak one in every now and then. The entire SEC needs to be thankful for Alabama being in the conference and winning a lot of NCs. They kept the Sec on top for a long time. And once again, I am not an Alabama fan but Im not a hater either.
You should hang out here more often to see how this forum works before spewing off whatever that is that you are spewing.

I really thought Harrison Bailey was our guy. All this talk of Milton really caught me off guard. I remember him being highly recruited out of HS but the fact he didn't make it at Michigan really has be concerned. Milton doesn't lack confidence that's for sure. I am confident we will see several QBs play this year. IMO we aren't good enough to keep one of them from getting hurt at some point.
Keeping expectations low, I am excited to watch this season. Losing and scoring 30 points a game will still be more fun than losing and scoring 10 points per game.

There is that.
There is a need to keep a second highly skilled QB waiting in the wings. Look what happened at ALABAMA with Hurts and TUA. Hurts was the steady hand all season long and ALABAMA found themselves in a pickle against Georgia and needed a edge and brought in TUA to bail them out. And it worked. Then the next season you had a reversal of fortune where Tua Goes down and Hurts has to come in and finish the job. So Perhaps this coach actually knows what he is doing.
With the ratio of tennessee to Bama fans on this board, there's way more tennessee threads started by Bama fans than Bama threads started by tennessee fans. If you only counted PDB's threads it would still be more.

You would have to do some factual research on that and give us some factual numbers before I would agree to that. Ive been a member of Tn Deer since probably the late 90's or early 2000. Can't remember when I first started. At some point the board changed and I lost my log in information and had to change my board name. At some point I was directed to the Sports Talk section through another thread from the general forum. I was amazed at the attitudes and sheer number of vol fans posting . There was way more vol fans posting and bashing of all teams and hatred of all teams. The absolute astonishment of the membes posting that this is a Tn Board comprised of tn vol football fans posting and no one else should be posting was enough for me to start posting opposition in the forum. So here we are years later posting in the Sports Forum on Tn Deer about ALL Sports. Not just vols football. All are welcome.

What I find comical is when I post something about ALABAMA suddenly all I am doing is posting about ALABAMA ..or when I am posting about the NFL all I am doing is posting about the NFL. Or when I posting about the vols all I am doing is posting about the vols...... seems like people want to see what they want to see..... I tend to spread the love around pretty generously.. LOL
